Workout

A fully featured premium App, My Fitness Instructor generates unique workouts on the fly, based on the settings you select, so that you can train how you want, when you want.

All workout sessions offer fully-voiced audio commentaries, instructing and encouraging you through the sessions. The are demonstration videos for each exercise to help you along too.

The app can generate over 5,000,000 unique workout sessions, without ever repeating itself – that means you use it for training every day for more than 13,000 years, and you’d have a new experience every day!

Set Up & Go

Starting a workout is easy – just hit the Set Up & Go button, and select your session settings.

You can choose the intensity and focus of the workout, and how long you want your session to last. Then hit Start My Workout, and the app does the rest, calculating a new fun and challenging session every time!

Other options include:

  • Watch videos of all exercises
  • Test your heart rate at set intervals
  • Bump iPhones to synchronise your current workout with friends

Heart Rate Monitor

The built-in Heart Rate Monitor allows you to track your body’s progress throughout a session. Training at the correct intensity for your fitness level is essential for fitness progress – the Heart Rate Monitor will make sure that you’re pushing your body to exactly the right level, making your routine safer, more effective and more efficient.

To use, simply find your pulse, and tap the on-screen icon in time with your heart beat.

Fitness Tests

British Military Fitness encourage users to undertake regular fitness tests. The app offers three fitness tests – Push Ups, Sit Ups and a Bleep test.

To perform a Push up or Sit Up test, just keep up with the counter for as long as you can. To perform a Bleep test, you run between two cones that are 20 metres apart, trying to beat the bleep.

Scores for all tests are recorded in the app’s History section.

History

Review your results and track your progress in the History section. Here you can see how your performance is improving over time, and find out what areas you need to work on.

Throughout the workout, and at the start of fitness tests, you'll have the opportunity to watch a video of a BMF Instructor showing you how each exercise is done.
